While searching available NCIS communities for quality challenges, other than the regular drabble communities or sign-up for rounds ones, to inspire new stories, I remembered ncis_flashfic after haven written a couple stories some time ago. I knew then, and now, that this community as great potential with dedication. I wrote to the maintainers for the community to inquire about relaunching these great challenges and both malnpudl and blueraccoon were very welcoming to the idea.

This community originally was created by the combination of efforts from crimsonquills , blueraccoon , and malnpudl. While I have taken the wheel to head the relaunch, blueraccoon and malnpudl are still very much with us in the background as silent partners in this venture.

Rules & Information:
This community is modeled from the ds_flashfiction & sga_flashfic communities and roughly follow the same rules. Challenges are posted every once every two weeks; writers have within that time to respond to the challenge.

Writers' stories must be posted only to the ncis_flashfic community for the duration of the challenge. The challenge will be formally closed by the moderator at the end of the challenge period. Writers may keep posting until you see the formal closing message from a moderator. After that message, no more stories for the challenge will be accepted, and writers are free to crosspost their stories to their own journals, websites, archives, etc.

For your archivist's convenience, please format post subjects as "[title] by [author name]".

Please include the community standard header information format as indicated, including pairings (if any) and age rating. The story itself must be behind a cut. The provided header has cut tags written in for your convenience.

Minimum word counts for stories is 100 words with no maximum, ever. Regardless of the length of your story, please post only one post in a single part, per story. Spoiler warning must be included in provided header for any episode or event that has taken place during season 7 to present. Please avoid use of made up pairings, such as Tiva, Tate, Tibbs, etc; instead using the character names Tony/Ziva, Tony/Kate, Tony/Gibbs.

Please use post tags where appropriate! I have created a large number of tags for use. If you require one specifically for your post, please include a note for a moderator BELOW the closing tag for the LJ cut. Regarding NCIS: Los Angeles: challenges responses within this fandom is welcome! Please indicate in your posts what character/pairing tags you require.

Advertising (Pimping) Policy:
The only communities we will allow to be advertised on this community are writing-related NCIS communities. We want to limit non-fiction posts and to keep things on topic for our readers. In all cases of community pimpage, we regard it as polite to ask permission first.
